Vegas in a heartbeat
To give our gracious hosts a break we planned a quick trip up to Las Vegas to visit our friends Cora Lyn and Stephen. Cora Lyn was Ira's first ballroom dance teacher. When they first moved to Las Vegas they had promised to teach me how to Viennese Waltz. I've never been able to get the hang of it. But sadly, before they were able to get their classes up and running, Covid hit and then we moved. But we remain good friends and since we weren't able to see them last time we were in town, we decided to stay with them this time. It's always nicer to visit when you're at home, you don't feel pressured to leave the restaurant.
As we made our way off the freeway into town, we stopped and backtracked our way back to this guy. He was new since our last visit.
Bumblebee
For those of you who don't know who Bumblebee is, he's my favorite Transformer.
Clip from the movie Bumblebee
He must have been a fan favorite, because they made a movie with him as the main character. So fun.
We spent a very lazy weekend with our friends and their two Pomskis. They are half Pomeranian and half Husky.
Lily
This is Lily and the younger of the two. It was the best picture I could get as she had a lot of puppy energy. She looks more Husky than Pomeranian to me.
This is Beau, he was less pleased than Lily that we were visiting. Maybe it's the Pomeranian in him?
We had a fun visit, despite my waking up at 4:00 every morning. My body seems to have gotten used to waking up and checking to see if there was any news from the Italian government. And on the Monday before we left, we got the good news. The Italian government approved our visa, yay!
Next step, the Italian Consulate.
A dopo!
