Forza ragazzi, forza!

Today was game day. We all agreed it made more sense to meet Fabio at the soccer field, plus it would serve as one of our walks for the day. When we arrived, we met Fabio at the concession / coffee bar for a quick shot before finding our seats.

The local team was the Massa / Valpiana team, sponsored by our favorite pizza place, Vanni! We heard they would be back from holidays on December 22nd. Just in time for us to enjoy a few pizzas before we leave.

We found our seats in the bleachers and waited for the game to start.

Fabio explained that although he was very good at soccer and was recruited often, his son was not and wouldn't be playing today, but that it should be a good game. Our home team is in maroon and white.

The game moved pretty well. Massa / Valpiana dominated the play. They should have scored more than they did, but the game ended 1-0 for us. It was fun to watch but maybe even more fun to watch the fans. Especially the one fan who came with his bullhorn. "FORZA, ragazzi, FORZA"!

By the time we got back, the skating huts were up as was the schedule. Fun! We love to wander around the square at night when it's mostly deserted.

This shot of our apartment is taken from just outside the front door of the cathedral. If you walk towards the left side of the apartment down the lane between the buildings you'll find the door below.

This is the current front door of the apartment. And we learned that it will remain as the front door instead of being changed to the opposite side. That was probably the best news that Niccolò gave us the other day. Because that means our address is now going to be Via Goldoni versus Via Ximenes. I am SO HAPPY about that, you can't even imagine.

Tonight's entertainment:

  1. The Next Three Days w/ Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks
  2. Live Free or Die Hard which apparently is the fourth in the five movie series.

Where have I been? There are five Die Hard movies?

A dopo!
