Vegas Baby

I was under the weather our final week in California, so needless to say it was quiet and uneventful. Which when you think about it, you need those to appreciate the fuller days, right? So, we ate in and binge watched Star Wars on Disney Plus. I just love Grogu!

By the end of the Mandalorian series, I realized that he reminds me a little of Mouse, what do you think? I sure miss that little one.

Now we are back in Las Vegas. This time we are staying with our friends Carson and Crissy in the north end of town, near where our first house was. When we first met them, we were attending their huge buffet and dance parties. Then it progressed to escape rooms or dinner and lounge acts, which is exactly what we did this week.

Their good friend Rizza was performing one night at the M Resort and Casino. It's so entertaining and engaging to watch someone perform who is both talented and loves to sing. She belted out a pitch perfect, tip-producing "Shallow" from "A Star is Born". Only in Vegas have I ever seen such high-quality shows for free.

It was also a foregone conclusion that we would be going to an Escape Room it was only a matter of deciding which one. We narrowed it down to either "Who Stole Mona?", as in Lisa, at Escapology or "The Seven Dwarfs" at Once Upon an Escape. (Note: the movie actually is Dwarfs, not Dwarves). We decided on the latter, which makes perfect sense when you realize that Carson and Crissy are Disney fanatics. This was our room all ready for us.

We were successful and rescued Snow White's heart, needless to say we were in great moods for our dinner at Sen of Japan. It was owned by friends of Carson and Crissy who used to own a restaurant in Singapore. It was so yummy! It was such a successful evening, we hit repeat and did it again.

This time we did the longer 90 minute Escape Room which we completed in the allotted time, thank you very much! Then we headed to dinner and another show. This time Rizza was singing for the first time with her new band at a seafood restaurant.

Dinner was good, but oof, maybe we'll have salad tomorrow LOL!

I end this post with a picture of this car we pulled up behind. As it turns out it's an autonomous test vehicle. We thought it was cool.

A dopo!
