Here fishy fishy

Some days you just feel like having fish tacos. In Las Vegas our favorite spot was Rubio's. As it turns out, the first Rubio's restaurant was opened in San Diego. So clearly, at some point we're going. But this day RC suggested we try Bahia Don Bravo in La Jolla. In the heart of this multi-million dollar neighborhood, this modest shop has managed to maintain both it's prime location and it's original charm.

The fish tacos did not disappoint. So delicious and so satisfying!

After dinner we went for a walk and stopped at each viewpoint along the way to watch the progress of the sunset. There were people gathered at every stop. This town really loves their sunsets. We finally landed at Bird Rock. Supposedly the rock used to resemble a bird. But what I didn't realize is that it is also the name of this small neighborhood within La Jolla. Bird Rock also lays claim to the location of the first war-time sinking of a U.S. submarine back in 1917. Supposedly it's still down there.

It was cloudy and a little windy that night, but it made for a spectacular sky at sunset.

A dopo.
