Farewell to Saint Helens

The end of an era. It was a cold and snowy January 1st in 2021 when we arrived at Bonsai Mirai in Warren, Oregon with all our worldly possessions stuffed in a truck and trailer. People thought we were crazy leaving our jobs in Las Vegas to live in the woods in a bonsai garden. But in the bonsai world we were living the dream in arguably the best bonsai garden in the world, but certainly the U.S. It has been an adventure and along the way we learned to love the little town of Saint Helens.

We leave with fond memories of the rodeo,

the livestock at the county fair,

the 13 nights music festival by the river,

the dirt track races,

drive-up popcorn and movies in the balcony seats at the Columbia Movie Theater,

and of course The Spirit of Halloween Town.

We had our last haircut with Polly at Scandalous Hair Design.

Had a cone and a shake at Dari Delish

Took one last walk along the riverfront

And said goodbye for now to our "Little One", Mouse-Mouse.

We're sure going to miss this sweet little girl.

We hope Randy will be able to bring her to Italy for a visit. We know she'd be the hit of Massa.

A dopo!
